Maintenance Technician | 2 Shifts | €3,149 Gross/month

Are you someone who likes to work with your hands, solve practical problems and see the result of your work at the end of the day? As a Maintenance Technician, you will work on high-tech packaging systems in a modern production environment in Veldhoven. You will be involved in maintaining, repairing and inspecting technical products, using tools and your practical skills to keep everything in good working condition. Your background does not have to be in maintenance specifically. Experience in a practical or technical profession, such as carpentry, construction, assembly or mechanical work can give you a strong foundation for this role. What matters is that you are technically minded, enjoy figuring out how things work and are willing to learn new skills. You will work in an international environment where you can turn the practical experience you already have into a new technical career.

If you enjoy working with your hands, using tools and fixing things rather than sitting behind a desk, this is a role where your practical skills really come into play.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will work on the packaging systems used to safely transport and protect fragile high-tech components. These are not ordinary boxes: you will work with large wooden and metal components, inspecting, repairing and maintaining them so they are ready for their next use.

You will follow clear work instructions and checklists, but you will also need to look at a problem, understand what needs to be done and find a practical solution. You will work closely with your colleagues to make sure everything is repaired correctly, safely and to the required quality standard.

What will you be doing?

Repair and inspect packaging using checklists and detailed work instructions.
Work with large wooden components, carrying out repairs and adjustments where needed.
Work with large metal parts and technical packaging components.
Use hand tools and technical equipment as part of your daily work.
Inspect products and identify deviations before they become bigger problems.
Carry out preventive maintenance to keep packaging in good condition and ready for reuse.
Register repairs and inspections accurately in the system.
Work together with your team to maintain high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

Every day brings a practical challenge: inspect it, understand it, repair it and make sure it is ready to go again.

You will work Monday to Friday in a 2-shift schedule, alternating weekly:

Morning Shift: 06:00 – 15:00
Afternoon shift: 15:00 – 00:00

The shifts alternate every week, giving you a predictable schedule while keeping the work varied.

What you get:

A good technical job should give you more than salary:

€3,149 gross per month, including the 18% shift allowance.
40 hours per week, full-time, Monday to Friday.
29 vacation days per year.
8.33% holiday allowance.

€0.25 per kilometre travel allowance, for commuting distances of more than 10 km one way, with reimbursement calculated up to a maximum of 40 km.

What we’re looking for

This role is a good fit for someone who is technically minded, practical and comfortable working with tools and materials. You don’t need to know everything from day one, but you should be able to work accurately, understand technical instructions and take responsibility for the quality of your work.

Required:

Good command of English (minimum B2 level) to understand instructions and communicate with colleagues.
Technical insight and a practical mindset.
Experience with maintenance, repair, assembly or other technical work.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.
Experience working with hand tools and technical equipment.
Willingness and ability to work in a 2-shift schedule.
An accurate and independent working attitude, with an eye for quality and safety.

A plus:

Experience operating an EPT or forklift.
A valid forklift certificate. Don’t have one yet? It may be possible to obtain one through WerkTalent if you have at least 1 year of experience.

We are looking for practical ability, not just certificates. If you have a technical background and are used to working with your hands, tools and materials, your experience can be a strong starting point for this role.
